Shakespeare returns to Central New York for a summer production of the classic comedy Much Ado About Nothing, directed by Amy C. Price and co-produced by the combined efforts of CNY Arts Center and Fulton Community Theatre.
“We were very pleased with the joint participation of actors from three Oswego County theater companies last summer when we debuted Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet”, said Nancy Fox, Producer. “It was a departure from what we had been doing and other local theatre companies in Oswego County seldom do Shakespeare. The response among local actors was an affirmation of the desire to challenge themselves with the classic, more difficult language and artistry of Shakespeare. Audience response was equally receptive and supportive.”
CNY Arts Center and Fulton Community Theatre have collaborated on space and lighting equipment needs on the Arts Center’s new stage as part of FCT’s 25th anniversary season. The collaboration continues with this production of Shakespeare’s comedy Much Ado About Nothing. The show is scheduled to run August 7 – 16 and will be held at CNY Arts Center on the CCC campus in Fulton.
