The exhibition, titled "Where Do We Go?" will open with a free public artist's reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, at the downtown branch of Tyler Art Gallery and the College Store, corner of West First and Bridge streets in Oswego.
"At a glance, my images seem casually unreal," said Madison, whose work recently has been featured in a number of international publications. "I am always looking for new inspiration and new ways to turn my imagination into a reality. It's who I am, just as much as a hand or a foot. I take in all of the emotions, colors, shapes and sounds that surround me in everyday life and put that into my work."
Madison said his technique involves taking many photos, followed by an average of 15 hours in the digital studio "manipulating my images into stories you can see in front of you. ... Each picture that I create is a journey in itself. I take great pride in using all of my own images -- these stories are created through all of my own work from start to finish."
