Oswego Mayoral Debate
Wednesday, October 14, 2015, 05:00pm - 07:00pm

Calling public debate a critical part of the democratic process, Tresidder said voters deserve to see the city's issues discussed by the candidates: "Everyone knows the challenges Oswego faces. Merely complaining about snow removal and crime and taxes isn't enough to get elected. The voters will choose a mayor who is prepared to implement solutions, and this debate will give them a chance to see which candidate that is."

According to Tresidder's campaign staff, local media outlets have expressed interest in moderating the debate, the details of which are still being finalized. Tresidder has proposed Oswego High School as the venue so that members of the public can attend.

Interest in the debate is expected to be high, with the election seemingly headed to a historic outcome: if elected, councilman Barlow would be the city's youngest-ever mayor, and a victory for legislator Tresidder would make her the first female mayor in Oswego's history.
