Navigating the Calendar

We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.

  • To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
  • Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
  • You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."

Film Screening: "Bone Tomahawk"

The Oswego Film Group presents its first presentation in the Guest Curator series. Our friend's selection is the 2015 release "Bone Tomahawk." This horror western starts Kurt Russell, Patrick Wilson, Matthew Fox, and Richard Jenkins. This first feature from writer/director S. Craig Zahler "follows a misfit rescue party that sets out to save hostages from a group of savage cannibals" and it has a "gross sense of humor...and the dialogue is dazzling." (Neil Genzlinger, "The New York Times") In the library's Community Room (lower level). A discussion follows the free screening. (This film in not rated; it contains violent scenes.)
