The Art Association of Oswego announces the opening of a new show at the Oswego Civic Arts Center on Friday April 29 with a reception from 7 to 9 pm.
Making Good: Journeys is an exhibition featuring artwork by college students from Oswego State and Cayuga Community College.
In the second floor gallery, there will be a photographic exhibit by Samantha Kaye of Oswego State, called Who’s Cuba? A photographic exploration of contemporary Cuban society. In the downstairs space there will artwork by printmaking students from both Cayuga CC and Oswego State, all related to the theme of travel, actual or imagined.
This is another installment of the AAO-sponsored Making Good series, which annually features the work of area college students. The reception on Friday April 29 is free and open to the public.
The Oswego Civic Arts Center is located at the northernmost end of East 4th Street in Oswego, directly across from Fort Ontario. Regular gallery hours are from 10 am to 1 pm on Saturdays and from 1 pm to 4 pm on Sundays or by appointment. Group tours are encouraged.
