Navigating the Calendar
We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
Select students from SUNY Oswego will be traveling to Jinotega, Nicaragua on a volunteer trip from March 11th- March 18th. This trip is through the Alternative Spring Break program at SUNY Oswego. Volunteers will be providing children with functional skills, competencies, and abilities that allow them to overcome the challenges of poverty and achieve a greater standard of living for themselves and their families.
Volunteers in Jinotega play an important role as educators in these programs, primarily teaching English to elementary school children at the Learning Center or providing engaging and meaningful Learning Camps in the community. The powerful impact of service-learning, coupled with authentic cultural interaction, not only transforms the lives of the children we serve, but also the lives of volunteers.
This fundraiser will help offset travel costs! The meals will be $8 pre-sale, $10 at the door, and kids meals will be 1/2 off!
Along side the Spaghetti Dinner there will be a 50/50 raffle, Raffle Baskets, and a Bake Sale!
