We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.

The Art Association of Oswego is now accepting entries for the 20th Annual Lakeside Statewide Juried Art Exhibition. Entry in this exhibition is open to all artists 18 years of age and older, living or working in New York State over the last 2 years. Eligible artwork must have been completed in 2016 or 2017. Acceptable media include: drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, printmaking, photography, ceramics, digital media and all fine craft. The purpose of the exhibition is to offer a sampling of artwork currently being produced in New York State. Prospectus and Entry Information (PDF) Submissions are due February 13.
The juror for this year’s exhibition will be William DeForest III. Mr. DeForest is a fine artist and graphic designer who resides in Scriba, NY. He is a graduate of the Bachelor of Fine Arts program at SUNY Oswego. He has earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from The Ohio State University in Printmaking and Drawing and has also earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from Rochester Institute of Technology in and Medical Illustration & Computer Graphics. He has taught at Ithaca College and SUNY Oswego. He currently works at Bryant & Stratton’s Syracuse North Campus where he is the Program Coordinator for Design.
Don’t miss AAO’s largest show of the year. The public is invited to the reception on Saturday March 18 from 6 to 8 pm. Or, come during regular gallery hours – 10 am to 1 pm on Saturdays and from 1 pm to 4 pm Sundays.
The Art Association of Oswego (AAO) galleries are housed in the Oswego Civic Arts Center, located at the northern end of East Fourth Street in the City of Oswego, directly across from historic Fort Ontario.
