We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."

Kevin Powell is one of the most acclaimed political, cultural, literary and hip-hop voices in America today. Powell is the author of 12 books, including his newest title, The Education of Kevin Powell: A Boy’s Journey into Manhood. His writings have also appeared in CNN.com, Esquire, Ebony, The Huffington Post, The Washington Post, Rolling Stone, The Guardian, The Utne Reader, ESPN.com and Vibe, where he worked for many years as a senior writer, interviewing such diverse public figures as Tupac Shakur and General Colin Powell.
