Oswego Players To Show Film
“Oswego Discovers Itself”
The Oswego Players will show the film, “Oswego Discovers Itself” in the Frances Marion Brown Theater at the Oswego Civic Arts Center on Tuesday, April 11 at 7:30 pm. The showing will follow the Players’ regular monthly membership meeting to which the public is invited. The meeting begins at 7 pm.
“Oswego Discovers Itself” was produced by a group from Columbia University in New York City in 1965. The film captures many of the cultural aspects of the city at the time, including Fort Ontario, Richardson-Bates House Museum, Art Guild (forerunner of the Art Association of Oswego) and the Oswego Players. The film is a wonderful look at the people and places of Oswego at the time and is a time capsule of Oswego in 1965.
The public is invited to view the movie free of charge. There will be popcorn or beverages available at the theater.
For further information, contact Rick Sivers, President of the Oswego Players, Inc., 315-312-0111.
