Navigating the Calendar
We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
The workshop is for family members, loved ones, or caregivers who are on the journey of a Dementia diagnosis of a loved one. The one-hour program will focus on ideas and approaches that will make the journey easier on everyone involved. Interventions, conversation tips, and “do’s and don’ts”, will be presented by Julie Chetney, Director of St Francis and Kelley Greene, Case Manager.
Hear about strategies that have proven to be effective from professionals who oversees Oswego County’s only dedicated special care residential program that served individuals with a dementia-related illness like Alzheimer’s disease.
The program coincides with an Open House taking place the same evening. The Open House will give community members a chance to tour the assisted living residence and learn about the services and amenities residents enjoy there. Staff will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about the various levels of care and services available, and learn why St. Francis Commons is, “supportive living, made easy.”
