Navigating the Calendar
We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
The Mad Scientist is back, bigger and better than ever before! This year we've introduced new technology to our legendary Halloween light show right here in Oswego, New York! Besides the usual 64 AC electrical channels, we've now added thousands of DMX channels via DC power to boot, all to produce spectacular special effects (lights are any color, anytime and fully animated!) Light show is synchronized to music and video with sing-alongs for the children. Happy Halloween from Rocco and Maria, see you soon!
Highlights include:
- New light system controls individual points of light (Thousands) for spectacular effects
- Karaoke for younger children for the first half of the show
- See the “Itsy Bitsty Spider,” legs alone are over 25 feet long and stand over 15 feet tall.
- UV floodlights are new for this year, look at how many things glow in the dark!
- New handmade Halloween props
- Animatronics
Besides a ton of fun, this is a community-minded event which encourages fellowship among neighbors, no agendas, no worries, bring you and your family and prepare yourselves for a lot of smiles!
NOTE:
We are requesting again this year that if some folk can bring cookies, cupcakes, candy, cider, etc. to help chip in during the intermission (refreshments are served free of charge during the intermission.)
