Beginning students will be introduced to three hand building techniques and throwing on the wheel. Illustration of slab rolling equipment, use of forms and molds, incising designs, and decoration with glazes and underglazes will all be presented. Students will have time to experiment with all techniques creating works for function or sculpture. Instructor: Linda Shannon. Classes held for six weeks on Thursdays, Feb 1 – March 8, from 6-9 PM. Class attendees will be eligible to attend open studio times as set up by AAO staff.

AAO Members = $133; Non-members = $190; Materials = $15 for glazing and firing (required) and $20 for 25 lbs of clay (optional if you have clay left over from one of our previous classes).
