An open forum "Is New York State Ready for Universal Health Care?"
Health Care and its availability and excessive, rising costs in the U.S. have been hot topics for decades, so a universal health care option being considered for New York State could affect all of us in the state dramatically. A forum in Oswego on The New York Health Act, S4840 is planned for March 7 because many New Yorkers know little about this bill, even though it's before the NY State Senate Health Committee for the second year. The pros and cons of The Health Care Act-- which has also been referred to as Medicare for All-- will be discussed March 7th, Wednesday, from 5-6 p.m. in room 201 in the Marano Campus Center, SUNY Oswego. Are New Yorkers ready for a universal single-payer healthcare plan? Can our state handle such a complex, expensive program? An informational session will be followed by a question and answer period.
The event will take place in 201 Marano Campus Center on the SUNY Oswego campus.
