Have you ever wondered about the spiral patterns that occur in plants and nature? Some of the most interesting spirals found in nature are called golden spirals and they can be described by some amazing mathematics and biology.
On Thursday, April 26th Casey Towne, of the Math Center, will present on the science of the golden ratio.
In this workshop, participants will discover golden spirals in a myriad of natural artifacts and plant their own indoor spiral garden to take home.
In the spirit of Earth Day, attendees will create an upcycled container garden to take home.
No prior math or biology knowledge required – the public is welcome. Please join us!
