The Oswego Fire Department is hosting a "Stop the Bleed, Train the Trainer" Class on Monday June 18th from 10am-12pm. This class is presented by Upstate University Hospital to teach individuals and organizations how to stop a person from bleeding in a life-threatening situation. The training is being encouraged in the aftermath of recent mass shootings.
This class is designed for public safety agencies to be able to teach this information to community members such as school teachers, sports coaches, and workplace leaders who want to be able to help in an emergency situation. The Oswego Fire Department will be hosting a layperson Stop the Bleed class in late summer.
Those interested in taking the class should email Captain Paul Conzone, [email protected], or call the Oswego Fire Department at (315) 343-2161.
