The author of the 2018 pick for Oswego Reading Initiative (ORI) first year read, "Tell Me How It Ends," visits the campus. Ms. Luiselli addresses the campus and community in Hewitt Ballroom at 7 pm; a book signing follows at 8 pm.

"Tell Me How It Ends: An Essay in Forty Questions" paints a powerful picture of the lives undocumented children lived before coming to this country and their plight as they try to remain here, drawn from Luiselli's experiences as a volunteer interpreter for young migrants and the lawyers representing them. The book was a finalist for the 2017 Kirkus Prize in Nonfiction and the National Book Critics Circle Award in Criticism.

Valeria Luiselli was born in Mexico City and grew up in South Africa. Her work includes novels ("Faces in the Crowd," The Story of My Teeth") and essays ("Sidewalks," "Tell Me How It Ends"). Her novel "Lost Children Archives" will be published in 2019.
