Outdoor Life Learners continues to reach out to all areas of Central New York. This is another one of our THURSDAY Nature Club meetups. Visit our website calendar (https://www.outdoorlifelearners.com/oll-calendar) for up to date locations throughout the summer.

The Great Bear Recreation Area is owned by the City of Fulton and the Town of Volney. A diversity of flora and fauna, varying terrain and the Oswego River and Oswego Canal make Great Bear a great place for non-motorized recreation such as hiking, mountain biking and cross-country skiing. Great Bear is a great place to hike, walk the dog, ride a mountain bike. In the winter you can ski or snowshoe. Trails are all "single track" wooded trails. You can also walk down the Oswego River to swim or fish.

*We meet each Monday or Thursday for a mid-morning hike, lunch and exploring. Locations vary, but we find ourselves mostly west of Syracuse.

Outdoor Life Learners community provides hands-on, nature-based learning opportunities for children of all ages. Our nature-immersion programs are geared towards young kids and their caretakers, youth and teens. Weekly gatherings and hikes provide a classroom without walls where children are free to roam and explore the outdoors, while skilled adults are always on hand to guide discussions, introduce seasonally-relevant themes and answer inquiries from curious minds.

Check out www.outdoorlifelearners.com for more information about our programs.
