Another great season of national level
performers is getting ready to rock the house this winter and spring, as the Oswego
Music Hall launches the 2018 New Year on Saturday, January 5, with the wildly popular
Delaney Brothers Bluegrass Band on the national stage. The venue is the McCrobie
Civic Center, 41 Lake Street in Oswego. Showtime is 7:30 pm.; doors open 7:00.
The Music Hall has been bringing national quality acts to the local venue for nearly 40
years and this season features more cream of the crop performers.
Two-time SAMMY winners, Delaney Brothers Bluegrass is one of Central New York’s
oldest and best-loved bluegrass bands. More than just bluegrass, their music is
influenced by many other acoustic traditions such as country, folk, gospel, and Celtic.
From the smooth, warm vocals of lead singer John Delaney and tight harmonies with
son Jonathan to Nick Piccininni’s smokin' banjo (and fiddle!) and Scott Corbett rounding
out the foursome on guitar and vocals— fans are treated to a musical experience that
sets toes to tapping!
