Navigating the Calendar
We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."

Monday Evening Mediation with Susan
Join Susan in our Healing Arts Studio each Monday evening
Beginning April 8th (with a few exceptions for the holidays)
Class is from 6pm-7:30pm (1 & 1/2 hour class)
Space is limited and filling up quickly!! Be sure to call our office at (315)207-5435 to register & reserve your space as soon as possible. You may also be eligible to use your insurance to cover cost of this Meditation series with Susan. If you are unable to use your insurance, class packages are available via Healing Arts Studio and you can inquire about this when you call our office to sign up. Don't wait!
~~~We also offer Tuesday Morning Meditation with Susan beginning April 8th from 11-12 pm. ~~~
The 8-week program will include weekly perspectives from:
•Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) - a scientific approach to stress reduction
•Neuroscience and Western Psychology mediation practices
•Buddhist Psychology mediation practices
We encourage you to make a commitment to yourself for the full 8-weeks as each week we build skills from the previous week.
EACH WEEK:
•You will be given information on internet websites, video links and apps that will support your meditation practices.
•Supplementary reading materials to improve your meditation practices.
•A warm-up meditation, a short lecture followed by a longer deeper meditation practice.
•Lessons on Buddhist philosophy and neuroscience behind the power of mindfulness.
Week 1: The power of mindfulness on stress, anxiety, and depression: Introduction to the Body Scan, 7-11 breathing, the OM breath work, and eating - Sitting meditation.
Week 2: The 4 Noble Truth, body scan- noting - Sitting mediation
Week 3: Our thoughts become our beliefs - our beliefs become our reality - Sitting mediation
Week 4: Understanding the stress response - Sitting mediation
Week 5: Difficult emotions, physical pain. Body Scan - noting - Sitting mediation
Week 6: Mindfulness and communication - opening the heart to self-love - Sitting mediation
Week 7: Mindfulness and compassion, waking up to reality - what is the "now"? - Sitting mediation
Week 8: Deepening your meditation practice, gratitude - Sitting meditation
