The First Universalist Society of Central Square is proud to present the professional and inspiring talents of the Silverwood Clarinet Choir in concert at the church on Sunday, April 28th starting at 4 p.m. This group has performed at the church before with rave reviews from the audience! Founded in 2006, the Silverwood Clarinet Choir “encompasses all the voices of a true choir. The sixteen-member group consists of Eb sopranino, Bb clarinets, alto clarinet, basset horn, bass clarinets, contrabass and contralto clarinets. The creative group performs original compositions as well as arrangements of well-known pieces – music in all styles and from around the world.” (www.silverwoodclarinet.com). The choir plays music that is both challenging and entertaining. In addition, for this special performance, the choir will be joined by CNY students from a master class that is being offered by the group before the concert. The concert will be held in the church sanctuary, which has been praised by past performers for its balance of acoustical intimacy, mellowness and clarity. There is no cost to attend but a voluntary donation is encouraged to help fund future concerts.
