Navigating the Calendar
We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
This Saturday's workshop of Art With Coffee is Drawing Trees and Branches - Part 1, with Peter Mahan. Whether you are just a beginner and need lots of advice, or are more advanced and just want to set time aside to draw out doors, this session is for you. We will draw the trees and branches around Fort Ontario, if it rains we will stay inside at the AAO and use photo references. The instructor Peter Mahan will talk about the "Basic Structural Truth of Trees" and using graphite pencils or charcoal will help you draw the image of tree onto your paper. Materials and supplies will be provided. (If you do have your own drawing board and particular pencils/charcoal and paper you like please bring them.) The fee for each class is $10.00. No registration needed, just walk in. Participants are encouraged to view this session as a "warm-up" to next week's Art With Coffee on the 31st, but either class can be taken independently.
