Navigating the Calendar
We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
The Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center will be presenting a public program on beavers, Leave it to Beavers, on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. (rain date: Sunday, October 27th at 2:00 pm). A slide presentation and introduction of beaver natural history, as well as the ongoing recovery of the beaver pond will be offered. Following the indoor presentation, naturalist Pat Carney will lead a short wander to the pond in hopes of observing the resident beavers reinforcing their lodge and dams or stocking their larder for the coming winter. Osprey, herons, mink, migrating waterfowl, and other interesting pond life may also be observed. A limited number of binoculars will be available for use.
There is a $4.00 fee per person with a family rate of $12.00. Children under the age of 3 are free.
