We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
No tarot or writing experience necessary! If you have cards, great! Bring along your favorite deck. If not, don't worry. We've got you covered. All participants will be provided with a notebook and pen.This workshop is geared to anyone who wants a different kind of writing prompt. Those who attend will learn how to use tarot cards for something besides divination -- a little inspiration. In two hours, we'll cover developing a character and a plot with the cards, and going into detail about specific character aspects, such as strengths or weaknesses -- as well as plot details like the conflict of what could be a story. The first part will be a series of three free writes using one card only as a bit of practice and to start seeing the stories in the cards themselves. After that, I will go over a few simple spreads and then open the floor to sharing some work between each set. There will be 6-10 minutes for the free writes during the course of the workshop.Fee: $10 per person
