Navigating the Calendar
We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
This year commemorates the 70th anniversary of D-Day, which began June 6, 1944. The marine museum will honor this event by holding a series of programs on June 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A history presentation, WWII re-enactments and WWII exhibits will be featured all day. The H. Lee White Marine Museum is asking admission by suggested donation to one of the vessels which played a huge role in WWII, the LT-5.
A new exhibit will be unveiled for the day illustrating the crucial role that supply ships, like the LT-5, played in the Normandy Invasion.
