Photographing the Best Snowflakes: a Rice Creek Reflection Talk
Saturday, February 19, 2022, 02:00pm - 03:00pm

As part of Rice Creek's Celebrate Snow winter festival, Professor Michael Peres from the Rochester Institute of Technology will be presenting a talk entitled "Photographing the Best Snowflakes." This talk is a Rice Creek Reflection, sponsored by Rice Creek Associates. Talk Description Professor Michael Peres started photographing snowflakes in 2003 at the suggestion of an RIT student who had recently seen the work of Wilson “Snowflake” Bentley at the Buffalo Museum and Science Center. That initial push exposed Peres to what has been a fascinating continuum of experimentation and improvement to make stellar photographs of these natural wonders. Peres will share his story of perpetual curiosity, his photographs, and his methods in this casual and richly illustrated presentation. https://www.instagram.com/michael_peres/ This event is free and open to the public, including children when accompanied by an adult. Attendees must follow Oswego's Indoor Spectator Policy, wearning a mask and either (1) showing proof of full vaccination status or (2) proof of a recent negative COVID test.
