Navigating the Calendar
We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
The Concert and Fireworks are back.
Mexico Point Park is the place to be on July 10. Spend the day swimming, hiking and/or relaxing on the shore of Lake Ontario. There are picnic tables, grills, and trails. The evening event will begin at 5:30 with Mexico Brass playing the Star Spangled Banner followed by an hour of great music. They will be followed by an Elvis Tribute singer, Michael Paul Callahan. Callahan, a multitalented performer, has been selected as the Elvis Tribute Artist for this year. Callahan is a gospel performer, a Hollywood movie actor, acting for years in plays, musicals, the lead in several films and movies, and several Hollywood movies.
The musical portion of the evening will end with The Cadleys who create very special music with their original acoustic sounds, nationally recognized songwriting, bluegrass instrumentation with classic country twang, tight harmonies, hot pickin' and a driving bluegrass rhythm. The evening with conclude with the amazing up-close and personal Young Explosive firework display.
The admission is free but donations are welcomed. A trolley will provide transport from the upper parking lot to the park. Two food trucks will be vending great eats. Dollars for Scholars will have ice cream for sale. Casey’s Cottage will be open for tours. The beach will be open for swimming until 8 pm.
