We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.

Rice Creek's third-annual Celebrate Snow Winter Festival will be held Saturday, Feb 18, 2023. The severe weather date is Sunday, Feb 19.
This year's festival will include indoor and outdoor, hands-on family activities related to snow and winter. Organizations participating include the Children's Museum of Oswego, the Department of Atmospheric and Geological Sciences, the Department of Biological Sciences, and more.
This event is free and open to all.
Activities include:
- 12 pm | A richly-illustrated book talk on Historic Snowstorms of Central New York by local author Jim Farfaglia.
- "Snowflakes Up Close" - 64-piece exhibit featuring the snowflake photography of RIT professor Michael Peres.
- A poster update on the NSF-funded lake-effect lightning study led by SUNY Oswego Professors Dr. Scott Steiger and Dr. Yonggang Wang this winter.
- Snow-themed Story Time with Oswego Public Library
- Children's Museum of Oswego snow play & learn station
- Mammal track walks & make your own mammal track
- Snowshoeing
- Snow science
- Arts & crafts
- Bird watching
- Campfire & marshmallows
- Hot cocoa
