We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.

SUNY Oswego's History Department, I Am Oz and the Living Writers Series are honored to present a reading and conversation with Ta-Nehisi Coates.
#1 New York Times bestselling author Ta-Nehisi Coates is a National Book Award winner, a MacArthur Fellowship recipient and an award-winning journalist. His bestselling books include the The Water Dancer, The Beautiful Struggle, We Were Eight Years in Power and Between the World and Me. Coates has been the recipient of a MacArthur Fellowship, and is celebrated for his authoring of Marvel’s Black Panther and Captain America comics series. Born and raised among six siblings in Baltimore, Maryland, Coates was raised by an educator (his mother) and the founder of Black Classic Press, a publishing company specializing in books by Black writers (his father).
While admission is free, tickets are required. Those who do not yet have tickets but are interested in attending can call 315-312-3073, email [email protected] or stop by the box office between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to register. Persons with disabilities needing assistance to attend this event should email t[email protected] or call 315-312-3073 at least 48 hours in advance. If seats remain, at-the-door registration may be available.
