Navigating the Calendar
We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
Winter Solstice Sunset Walk (Sterling)

Celebrate and embrace the first day of winter by taking a guided sunset walk to discover nature’s secret expression of the changing seasons.
We will seek out the remnants of autumn and discover the beginning signs of winter.
The program is free and open to the public and will start at the Lake View Observation Deck to watch the setting sun.
You can come early to visit the Gift Shop 12:00-4pm or stop in after the walk, this will be the last day it is open. (Astronomical Winter officially begins Thursday, December 21, 10:27 P.M. EST)
