We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
The Truth Seekers, a Christian coalition of artists, will present their show “God of Wonders” at the Art Association of Oswego. The show runs August 30th to September 28th with an opening reception free to the public on August 30th at 7 pm.Truth Seekers is a diverse group of creative individuals from various denominations who serve God through their art. The Oswego-based group’s vision is to share their common faith in Christ through creative expression in the visual arts. Their goal is to bring together like minded individuals who have an interest in expressing their faith through their art.
This year’s themed show is “God of Wonders” where the artists express these wonders in several medium such as photography, Pottery, sculpture, collage, paintings, drawing, poetry and other mediums. It is a collection of art depicting God in nature, animals, children, His sacrifices, His love, and in our lives.
The reception will be from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Art Association of Oswego in the Art Center at Fort Ontario complex. This is an opportunity to meet and greet the artists and discuss their works in the show. The gallery is open Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 5 pm for viewing as well.
