Gilbert and Sullivan's Trial by Jury by Oswego Opera
Trial by Jury is a delightfully ludicrous one-act opera dealing with a lawsuit over a broken engagement. Edwin, the defendant, has fallen in love with another woman and has jilted his fiancé Angelina, who sues him for “breach of promise of marriage”. The ensuing legal battle will have you in stitches as it highlights the absurdities of romantic entanglements and the twists and turns of the judicial process.
