We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
The JMA tour is coming to the Safe Haven Holocaust Refugee Shelter Historic Site which interprets the history of the WWII Fort Ontario Emergency Refugee Shelter and the 1000 Jewish Holocaust refugees brought there in 1944. Handoff of the Circle of Chai art piece by the Riders Of The Covenant Club of Toronto to members of the Thou Shalt Ride Club of Syracuse will occur at 11 AM. The Hillel's Angels Club of New Jersey, sponsor of the great 2014 rally at Fort Ontario, will be riding with the Thou Shalt Ride Group. Holocaust historian and museum board member Rebecca Erbelding, PhD will attend to point out locations of refugee activities and significant events in the 5 August 1944 to 5 February 1946 history of the Shelter, where the Holocaust came to America.
