We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
The Oswego City Band presents “Celebrating America’s 250th” on Wednesday, July 1, at 7:30 p.m. at Breitbeck Park.
Celebrate Independence Day with an evening of patriotic favorites and American classics. The program includes John Philip Sousa’s The Liberty Bell and The Stars and Stripes Forever, Carmen Dragon’s stirring arrangement of America the Beautiful, Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story and Candide, and George Gershwin’s An American in Paris. The band’s trumpet section will also be featured in Leroy Anderson’s Bugler’s Holiday and selections from Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket and join conductor Trevor Jorgensen and the Oswego City Band for an evening of music on the new David A. Sterio Memorial Stage next to the Bell Tower. Concertgoers can also enjoy one of Breitbeck Park’s beautiful sunsets over Lake Ontario.
In the event of rain, the concert will be held in the Breitbeck Park pavilion. Admission is free, and all are welcome.
