We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
Model Train Village featured at annual "Christmas at Sea" Open House.
The H. Lee White Maritime Museum is pleased to host our annual "Christmas at Sea" Open House on Sunday, December 14 from 1-4:30 pm. Come and celebrate the holiday season in Oswego's gaily decorated "Historic Maritime District."
Munch on homemade cookies while enjoying our uniquely decorated holiday trees. This year's theme trees will feature Santa and his reindeer, snow and ice, lighthouses, nature and boats of course! Model train displays will be exhibited throughout the building courtesy of the Oswego Valley Railroad Association and Museum. A vintage Waterfront Village is set under the ten-foot high Christmas tree featuring gingerbread cookies decorated by area children.
At 2 pm, Santa Claus will arrive by U. S. Coast Guard Cutter and there is no need to have your child wait in a long line to see him! Unlike the mall, children will have plenty to do as they participate in crafts, listen to festive stories, hear music or watch the train display run while waiting to take their turn. Santa will not leave until he hears every child's wish.
