Fitzhugh Park Sixth Grade students read the book "Each Kindness" by Jacqueline Woodson this past month during their PBIS plus instruction time with School Social Worker Amy Orr, Farnham Family Services Student Assistance Counselor Linda Fischer, and School Counselor Katie O'Leary.

The theme for the month was kindness and how small acts of kindness can contribute to a positive environment at home, school, and the community. As part of the curriculum, Fitzhugh Park students created holiday placemats for the residents of St. Francis Commons to add some holiday cheer for those in our Oswego community.

Shown pictured recently presenting the placemats are from left to right in the front row: Cassidy Proud, Alexis Murteza, Eric Carson, Tommy Maleski, Christian Mabb, and Kaylob Lawton. Back row from left to right are: Ms. Orr; Ms. O'Leary; Kelley Greene, St. Francis Commons; Sylvia Jenks, a resident at St. Francis Commons; Julie Chetney, St. Francis Commons; Ralph Jennings, a resident at St. Francis Commons; and Donna Simmons, Fitzhugh Park School Principal.
