Write a commentAlfia M. Bivens Brace, 87 of Oswego passed away Tuesday morning in the Oswego Hospital.
She was born in Volney and was the daughter of the late Vito and Marie Torrisi Lazzaro.
She was the widow of her first husband Lavern Bivens and her second husband Richard Brace.
Mrs. Brace was a lifelong resident of Oswego.
She is survived by four daughters, Lorraine (Gregory Caster) Bivens, Joyce (David) Roth, and Sandra (James) Lagoe and Janice (Nancy) Frasier, three sons, Christopher (Tina) Bivens, Robert (Cathy) Bivens and Randall (Bobby Jean) Bivens all of Oswego, two sisters, Jenny Munger of Fulton, Grace Campbell of Central Square, seventeen grandchildren, Jenna Roth, Aaron Roth, Jason Roth, Derek Roth, James Lagoe, Jr., Melissa Lagoe, Joshua Bivens, Nicole Bivens, Erica Bivens, Travis Bivens, Gregory Caster, Heather Bivens, Michael Bivens, Tony Bivens, Sarah Bivens, Michelle Bivens, Rebecca Bivens, , nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by one daughter Janet Bivens, an infant son Rodney Bivens, one granddaughter, Darlene Cory, one grandson Robert Bivens, eleven siblings, Angelina Strano, Frances Sheldon, Vito Lazzaro, Virginia Clark, Santa Kingsbury, Rose Tripolone, Sam Lazzaro, Mary Cory, Joseph Lazzaro, Connie Pryor and Benny Lazzaro.
Graveside services will be private in Rural Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
Arrangements are by the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
