Write a commentAlma L. McDermott, 98 of Oswego died Monday in the Oswego Hospital.
Mrs. McDermott was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late Edward and Ethel Pelow Gillen.
She was a life resident of Oswego and was the widow of the late Eugene James McDermott who died in 1998.
Alma was a longtime Communicant of St. Louis Church.
She is survived by her son Daniel (Chery) McDermott of Danville, CA, five grandchildren, Joseph, Jacob, Connor, Hayden and Brogan, her daughter in-law Laurie McDermott of Oswego, and numerous neices and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by two sons, Donald and Dennis McDermott, two brothers, Richard Gillen and Howard Gillen three sisters, Gertrude Ames, Melrose Tonkin and Jeannine Delaney.
Funeral services will be held on 11AM Friday March 1, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
