SUNY Oswego's Jazz Ensembles will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, in Tyler Hall's Waterman Theatre in a concert titled "It's About Time," featuring Rochester guest musician and alumnus Tamar Greene.

Ensembles will include the jazz small group, the Latin Jazz Ensemble and the Jazz Ensemble, according to Eric Schmitz, SUNY Oswego assistant professor of music and host of the event. Greene, a 2009 SUNY Oswego graduate, will be guest vocalist.
Greene graduated this spring from a master's program in voice at University of Rochester's Eastman School of Music. He has performed as a featured artist with Oswego Opera and made appearances with the Eastman Opera Theatre. He worked with renowned performers and coaches in Italy in the music and language program "Si Parla, Si Canta."
Also the lead singer in a big band, Greene this summer opened for John Legend in the 2012 Jazz on the Pond series.
The suggested donation for the concert is $5 to benefit the music department's Excellence Fund scholarships.
Those attending this performance may park in lot E-6 at Culkin Hall or in E-18, the southern half of the lot behind Hart and Funnelle residence halls.
