Another Reason iHeart Oswego: Mexican Food

It's no secret that Azteca Mexican Grill is a widely-sought out Mexican food place in Oswego.

It’s one of my favorite restaurants in town and although I like to venture out and try different dishes, I always find myself going back to one: quesadilla rellena.

It’s a stuffed quesadilla with beans and beef, topped with sour cream, guacamole, lettuce and tomatoes. The dish also includes rice, which is my favorite side dish of all time.

Being Latina, I naturally douse my food with hot sauce to spice it up. IMG 1822

I decided to try the chile relleno as an appetizer, which is a hot pepper topped with melted cheese and spices.

Azteca always delivers with its quality food and friendly service. The atmosphere of the restaurant allows customers to experience what a traditional Mexican restaurant is like. The music, which reminds me of the kind of music my own family listens to, is loud enough to hear, but low enough for customers to enjoy a conversation.

Although I’m Salvadoran, I always think about my family when I go to Azteca, mostly because my family also cooks Mexican cuisine along with our traditional Salvadoran dishes.

And that’s another reason I heart Oswego.
