     I ask because of something that happened this weekend.

     Social networking sites such as Pinterest often inspire its users to create artistic masterpieces out of ordinary items. It is because of Pinterest that Katherine Hansen, an artist and a busy mom, was inspired to create `Fairy Flowerpot Gardens.`

     The School of Business at SUNY Oswego appears on Princeton Review's 2014 list of the nation's most outstanding MBA-granting business schools, the 10th consecutive year the school has achieved the designation.

Facebook has (officially) expanded the emoticon Like button and has finally launched the service you have all been waiting for.....REACTIONS.

     On Tuesday, Oct. 29, Women's Network for Entrepreneurial Training (WNET) and SUNY Oswego's Office of Business and Community Relations (OBCR) will gather women from across New York State for Connections, a day-long conference to be held at River Vista Center in Fulton from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

     Hundreds of people visited St. Francis Commons Assisted Living Residence during an Open House Oct. 12-13. Those attending toured the new residence and learned about the unique services and amenities to be offered to the community.

     The Connection Point, located at the former The Resource Center at 198 W. First St., in Oswego, will celebrate their grand opening on Oct. 18 and 19.

     The diner Lil Taste of Home, 875 County Route 29, offers Oswego residents a new menu that includes the sought-out Fish Fridays and hard ice cream.

     The Oswego County Child Protection Advisory Council (CPAC) has developed a web page on the Oswego County government web site to provide information and resources for parents and community members.
