The Salmon River Fine Arts Center is asking amateur and non-professional artists (anyone not earning a living from their art) to submit artwork for the “Sunday Artists” Show & Competition.

All artwork must be received by Saturday, May 18th. Artists must be 18 years or older and may enter up to four pieces in any media form. This year’s exhibit runs May 23rd  through June 22nd. Cash prizes will be awarded for exemplary artwork based on visual impact, originality, overall design and craftsmanship. We are doing things a bit differently this year with the addition of Three Categories for submissions: amateurs, emerging artists, and semi-professional artists (those not making a livelihood with their art). We encourage you to participate in this very special show. There is a discount entry fee for members, but everyone is welcome to submit their work!

This year’s show will be judged by Sharon Blair. Sharon Blair is a lifelong multi-disciplined artist and proud military mother, which has greatly influenced her art. She works at Syracuse Commercial Art Supply and gives demonstrations and teaches art classes, both indoor and Plein Air, for various local art guilds, organizations and colleges. Sharon has had her work exhibited in many Central New York venues and juried various regional art shows.

For details on how to submit art for the show, see the prospectus and guidelines on the Salmon River Fine Arts Center website or contact the art center.
