The Center for Instruction, Technology & Innovation's (CiTi) Career and Technical Education (CTE) Culinary Arts program has partnered with Lasagna Love, Leadership Oswego County, the Richard S. Shineman Foundation, the Women's Club of Fulton and more to address the growing need for home-cooked meals in Oswego County.

Together, they hosted an event aimed to provide comfort and nourishment to families in need by fulfilling a backlog of lasagna requests in the community.

Lasagna Love is a nationwide movement dedicated to spreading kindness and addressing food insecurity by connecting volunteer chefs with individuals and families in need. To date, the organization has delivered hundreds of thousands of lasagnas, making a meaningful impact on communities across the country.

Student volunteers in CiTi's Culinary Arts program came to the kitchen on a Saturday, where they worked with adults from the community to prepare more than 150 lasagnas under the guidance of their instructors. The collaboration not only enhances the culinary skills of the students but also teaches them the importance of giving back to their community.

Lasagna Love and Leadership Oswego County participants played a vital role in organizing and coordinating the distribution efforts, ensuring these meals reach families efficiently.

"This partnership exemplifies the power of community collaboration in addressing local challenges," said Culinary Arts Instructor Courtney Stees."Our hope is that this could blossom into an annual partnership for everyone's benefit," said Culinary Arts Instructor Sam Passer.
