With Budweiser International Classic Weekend on the horizon, Oswego Speedway has set aside four designated test sessions for race teams beginning Monday, Aug. 26.
The four-hour sessions will run in the same fashion as the weekly Fast Friday tests that were held throughout the regular season. Teams must call the Speedway office to reserve a space for either Aug. 26-28 from 4-8 p.m. or Aug. 29 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Spectators will be welcome to view the test sessions in the main grandstand at no charge.
As of Aug. 21, a total of seven teams have reserved space for testing at the 'Steel Palace.'
The Aug. 26 session will see weekly Novelis Supermodified competitor Brian Sweeney as well as the two-car Supermodified team of Graham Racing. Joining Sweeney and Graham will be 2014 Pathfinder Bank SBS Rookie hopeful Camden Proud in the Proud Racing No. 3 SBS.
Graham Racing is scheduled to return Aug. 27 with the addition of Dan Connors Jr. in the Connors Racing No. 01 Supermodified.
The Wednesday, Aug. 28, session is slated to see the return of the Syrell Racing No. 08 Supermodified. According to team owner Eric Syrell, a driver has been selected for the No. 08, and will be announced later this week. Graham Racing will again be part of the Aug. 28 session.
The final session of the week Thursday, Aug. 29, will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will see both Graham Racing and Syrell Racing back for more track time. Joining those two Supermodified teams will be the Locke Racing No. 37 Supermodified with Jeff Locke at the controls as well as the Gary Morton No. 70 Supermodified.
The testing line-up is subject to change at any time as teams have until 10 a.m. on the day of testing to withdraw their session and teams can always be added to the line-up. If a team does not withdraw their session by 10 a.m. on the day of their scheduled test, they will still be charged the session fee.
Keep up to date with any testing changes at www.oswegospeedway.com or on the Speedway's social media accounts through Facebook and Twitter.
Budweiser International Classic Week runs from Aug. 28-Sept.1 with the Race of Champions Asphalt Modified 100 joining 'Fast 14' Supermodified time trials Aug. 30. Supermodified time trials will begin Aug. 30 at 6:15 p.m.
The Aug. 31 line-up features the final round of the Shea Concrete 'Steel Palace' ISMA SuperSeries with the Bud Light ISMA SuperNationals 60, the Bud Light SBS Classic 75, and the ATQMRA TQ Midget Classic. Race time is at 5 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 31.
