Walt Julian's World 2015, a children's benefit held Sunday at Breitbeck Park brought Disney World to Oswego, along with great joy to local children.
Julian Ross, diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma at the age of 6 wished to visit Walt Disney World, but due to being in Hospice care since early march of this year, he would not be able to. Fortunately, Julian's mother, along with organizer Ruth Wallace, were able to put together a benefit for children like Julian to be able to "visit" Disney World, even if Julian himself was unable to attend.
Diontae Smith, a very good friend of Julian and currently in the same hospital as Julian in Philadelphia came to visit Oswego with his family to support Julian and the benefit. Diontae has been battling Stage IV brain cancer, but has the mark of a true hero for the bravery and courage he and his family shows.
