Eleven properties destined for the annual Oswego County Tax Auction were acquired by the Oswego County Land Bank last week. The properties were transferred to the Land Bank for $1, as was previously agreed upon by the Oswego County Legislature.
Located in ten municipalities across the county, six properties have been tagged for demolition and the remaining five properties will be rehabilitated.
The first Land Bank property to be returned to the tax roll was purchased by Tony Pauldine for $5,000. Pauldine submitted one of only two proposals received by the Land Bank. Pauldine has agreed to renovate the 25 Church Street property in the City of Oswego. When complete, it will be a single-family rental.
The Oswego County Land Bank has acquired over twenty properties, to date.
