Motorcycle Riders and Classic Car Enthusiasts Come Together to Feed Children.

Erin's Angels of CNY is pleased to announce that the 7th annual "Cruise for Food" fundraiser raised more than $6,000 on Saturday, June 7th, 2025. Fifty-five participants, consisting of motorcyclists and classic car owners, raised more than $6,000 to help provide food to 110 children through the Phoenix School District weekend meal program during the 2025-2026 school year. Following the ride, families enjoyed lunch, raffles, games, a petting zoo and other activities.

"Given the uncertainty of possible cuts to nutrition programs nationwide, we are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped to make this event so successful. For the first time, we added classic car participation, and we hope to welcome more classic cars to the event in the years to come. We could not possibly feed people in our community who face food insecurity every day without the support of our volunteers and event sponsors." stated Jackie Flint, Erin's Angels Board of Directors President.

This year's sponsors included, Heids of Liverpool, Hoffman, Wegmans, Jason's Auto Repair, Independent Pizzzeria, Small Town Girl Marketing, Insane Inflatables, Hudds and Constellation. Erin's Angel's of CNY would like to express special gratitude to Brayhope Farms, all the basket raffle donors, The Cool Kids Band, Eric Mills and VFW Post #5540, the Lake Ontario Broom Riders and CNY's Wonder Woman.

Established in 2017, Erin's Angels of CNY named in memory of 11-year-old murder victim Erin Maxwell, is a nonprofit organization focused on fighting food insecurity in Central New York. It ensures that hunger does not get in the way of a child's education.

"Hunger is not just a local problem it is a worldwide issue. Every event, speaking opportunity and effort to feed the hungry honors Erin's memory. We work toward a future where every child is cared for, valued, and free from hunger. We fundraise because every child deserves to feel safe and secure, knowing they will have food to eat over the weekend. We raise money to provide meals, protect, and support children in need, ensuring they experience love and stability," stated Erin's Angels Founder and Executive Director Sheila Dion.
