Evelyn G. Vanderhaden, 76; of Fulton will be buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery 9:30 AM April 13th with a committal service to be given by Rev. Joseph Scardella.
She was the daughter of the late Morris and Sophie (Carey) McCann. Mrs. Vanderhaden was a lifetime resident of Fulton.
She was past employed with General Electric, Syracuse, Carrier Corp, Tops and the Fulton City School District as a School Crossing Guard.
Mrs. Vanderhaden was an active volunteer for many years having been a BINGO worker, Eucharist Minister, Bazaar worker and a Minister for the Shut-In Program for both Holy Family, and Holy Trinity Churches.
She also volunteered as A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital for several years.
Mrs. Vanderhaden was a member of the Catholic Daughters Court Pere LeMoyne, Holy Trinity Golden Agers and Altar Rosary Society.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Donald Vanderhaden in 1994, her brother Morris McCann Jr., and niece and nephew: Carolyn and Morris McCann.
Mrs. Vanderhaden is survived by her 2 children: Mary Ann (Robert Jr.) Kimball of Fulton, and Robert (Angie) Vanderhaden of Fulton, 1 sister: Mary Jane (Richard) Lower of Oswego, 5 grandchildren: Bobbiejo, Monica (Ron), and Robert Kimball, and Angelisa, and Robert Vanderhaden, 8 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Monday 9:00 AM at Holy Trinity Church where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Joseph Scardella.
Burial will be held in the spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours will be conducted 1:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S., Fulton.
