Sonatas by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Schubert and Luigi Boccherini will comprise the repertoire for Shallit, concert violinist and professor of music at Oswego, and Spindler, a concert pianist who teaches in the Eastman Community Music School of the University of Rochester.
Composed within a 50-year period that roughly defines the Classic Era in music history, the pieces will include Sonata in B flat major Opus 5 number 1 by Boccherini, Mozart's Sonata in B flat major K. 378, Schubert's Sonata in A major D. 547 and Beethoven's Sonata in C minor Opus 30 No. 2.
Tickets for the recital are $8 ($5 for SUNY Oswego students). They are available at all SUNY Oswego box offices, online at tickets.oswego.edu or by calling 312-2141. Patrons needing assistance should call 312-2141 in advance.
Parking is included in the price of the ticket, and is available in employee and commuter lots adjacent to and across Washington Boulevard from Sheldon Hall.
