Family and friends gathered at Bishop’s Commons for a Memorial Service held in honor of residents who passed away over the last year at the Enriched Housing Residence.
Executive Director Karen Murray led the ceremony, as Reverend Robert Stephenson and Reverend Richard Morisette officiated. Larry Rapshaw provided piano music and acted as song leader.
A Memorial table served as a focal point of the service. Words of remembrance from family, songs, prayers and even some laughter was shared among those in attendance, as joyful memories of residents’ lives were recounted.
“Families put their trust in Bishop’s Commons and we think it is appropriate to both remember and to celebrate the lives of those who have gone before us, and also to share in the feelings families may be experiencing,” said Ms. Murray. “We thank everyone who took part in making this a special experience.”
