On Saturday, April 12, 2014, The Shed and iHeart Oswego will join forces with Delta Kappa Kappa Inc., and SUNY Oswego's Men's Varsity Ice Hockey team, to host an all day barbeque and silent auction starting at 3 PM at The Shed (located at 1 Washington Blvd. in Oswego).
This event is a benefit to aid the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County, a local non-profit organization located in Fulton, NY, whose mission involves assisting children in the local community. Because April is National Child Abuse Awareness month, these organizations have partnered with the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County to spread awareness about child abuse and the programs it offers to assist victims.
One hundred percent of the net proceeds from this fundraiser will be donated to the Child Advocacy Center. For this event, many popular local businesses have donated merchandise to our silent auction. This event will also include a live performance from Zeta Band, as well as activities like can-jam, and volleyball. There will also be appearances by players from the Syracuse Crunch.
Delta Kappa Kappa is a social fraternity whose general purpose is to foster the development of fellowship, scholarship, and leadership in young men. In recent years, we have raised money for a number of organizations advocating for children. This year, please help us raise funds to help children in need and educate our community about these desperately needed services.
